I has rained since today in the evening
Probably for the first time in 4 months a lot of rain fell.
It may be the first time that I heard thunder after I came to NAMIBIA.
The view of Khorixas is always brown.
However since the rainy season has come,I think we can see green little by little from now on.
I can’t relax because It is the different situation than usual.

中間報告
今週の火曜日に中間報告がありました！
1年間の活動の振り返りとこれからの活動について、学校の先生たちに向けて報告しました。
それと、自分が思っていること、主に体育とArtsの科目の重要性について説明しました。
私の学校では体育とArtsの授業は、先生たちがまともに授業を行なっていません。
理由としては、進級科目ではないので意識が低い、外で教えることは暑いし面倒だからしたくない、そもそも体育とArtsの教え方を知らないなど様々あります。
しっかり伝わっていたのかが不安でしたが、次の日に、体育の授業を行わずいつも子どもたちを教室で座らせていた教師が、私にボールと縄跳びを借りて、外で体育をすると伝えてきました。
後でクラスを覗いてみましたが、子どもたちがサッカーとネットボールをしているのをその教師がスーツ姿で木の下で見ている様子がありました。
児童に教えたり、指示を出したりはしていませんでしたが、ほんの少しは伝わっているのかなあと思います！
これが続いていけばよいのですが。。。
徐々にそれらの科目の重要性に気づいてもらえるように私もいろいろな形で伝えていきたいと思います！
あと、もちろん英語で報告するのですが、自分の英語力の無さを改めて実感しました。
普段の日常会話は不自由なくできるようになってきましたが、まだまだです。。
しっかり伝わったのかなあ。と不安になるばかり、
もっと現地語だけで話している教師たちの会話に英語で割り込んでコミュニケーションを取っていこう！と思います！

私事でしょうもないですが
ここ最近、このやり取りってなんなんだろう？と悩んでいます。
中学校1年生、英語の勉強が始まって真っ先に覚える会話の１つですね。
日本語に翻訳する場合
「お元気ですか？」
「元気です。」
と表現することが多いようです。
ナミビアで生活してると日本語に興味がある人からHow are you?て日本語でなんていうの？
と聞かれることがあります。
その時
私はいつも少し悩んだあとに
「お元気ですか？」だよーと教えますが
毎回違和感を感じています。
だって
日本で「お元気ですか？」なんて言わないじゃないですか！
とてもよそよそしくて、他人行儀な印象を受けませんか？
しかし
ナミビアではこのやり取りを
毎日、会う人会う人に何回もします。
答える側は I’m fine 以外で答えてもいいはずなのに90%以上の確率でI’m fine と返します
現地語でも
マティサ？(=How are you ?=お元気ですか？)
カイヤ(=I’m fine=元気です)
エチマミレ(=How about you?=あなたは？)
カイヤ(=I’m fine =元気です)
このやり取りが延々と行われています。
問題だと思うのはその日最初に会った時は必ずこのやり取りをしないとその先の会話に進めない雰囲気があることです。
お互いに「元気です」ということはほぼ決まっているにもかかわらずしなければいけないのが煩わしいです
正直言って
めんどくさくないですか？笑ε-(´∀｀; )
でも最近
そう思うのと同時にこのやり取りには何か別の意味が含まれていて日本語訳が間違ってるのでは？と深読みしてしまいます。
そして！
なんと！
今日！
深読みは無駄だったと思い知らさせるのです。

そう
先に自分から元気ですと言うことで最初の「元気ですか」の会話を１つ減らしていたのです

マラソン大会 in Walvis Bay
5th of October was the Teaher’s Day.
The Teaher’s Day is a special day for the appreciation of teahers. Celebratory events were held at schools in ohter countries.
But there was no such event at my school, was closed.
Then, it was three holidays, we took part in the marathon in Walvis Bay.
Walvis Bay is the town facing the Atlantic Ocean, so the temperature was low and it was very cold unlike Khorixas.
People from various countries outside of Namibia also participated in the marathon, and in addition to the full marathon, there were also half, 10km, bike races, etc.
We ran the 10km due to the injury effect and low consciousness.
I ran over 10km, and thought that I was really good not to register in the full marathon.
I was really tired.
Even now after two days, my legs are sore muscles.
I will not run the marathon in the future
ナミビア(コリハス)の天気
Khorixas is located in the northwestern part of Namibia.
It has become hot from October.
The weather in the recent week is like this.
It is sunny and really hot every day.
There is no air condition in my office.
I heard from colleagues that December is the hottest！
I don’t know if I can survive in Africa!

I often see such a scene in khorixas I live in.
The flock of goats walk in the ground of school and road.
Namibia is a county with many nature and many animals. Namibia people eat a lot of animals that can’t be eaten in Japan.
Japanese usually eat pork, beef, and chicken.
Namibian also eat them and goat, sheep, donkey, kudu, oryx, springbok, impala, even zebra and crocodile.
Then Khorixas people often eat the donkey’s meat.

I have ever eaten the donkey. It was good but a bit tough and smelly.
My favorite meat is crocodile.
It was delicious with the taste like between fish and chicken.
You should come to Namibia to eat a variety of animals.

I recently learned about this.
And
I encountered a person who will join it and go to Japan next week,

I thought that Japanese is confusing.
The introduction about Japanese food was published there, I write it
Uson- White Japanese noodles made from wheat flour thicker than soba.
It is eaten like soba dipped in a cold , light shoyu soup or in a hot soup with minced green onions and red pepper .
