ナミビアで協力隊やってみた

休み時間

There are a lot of differences between the school in Namibia and the school in Japan.

For example there are not the break times between classes. When the bell rings, the lesson is over and this bell is also a signal to start the next lesson. So I’m always rushing to go to another classroom after lesson.

But there is a break time of 30 minutes only after fourth period.

The junior primary learners(grade1~3) can get porridge at school kitchen.

Porridge is is the staple food of Namibia. The taste is good, but I like rice better than it.

The senior primary learners (grade4~7) buy something under the trees.

Some women living in the neighborhood sell snacks, fat cakes, candies, etc.

I also buy fat cakes everyday. It’s cheap, 1 dollar each, and delicious. looks like サータアンダギー.

最初は、

これは衛生的に食べれるの?、

おばちゃん、なんか変なものとか混じってないよね?、

と、恐る恐るでしたが、食べてみたらやみつきになりました!
